A Season of Thanks - Welcome to Our New Innkeepers
Life in an Inn
I know that Thanksgiving Day is officially over, with the last of the turkey soup consumed and the Christmas shopping underway, but I am not done with the “being thankful” part. Thanksgiving was a wonderful time this year with family and friends, early season skiing has been fabulous, and our guests a joy as always. Now Manfred and I have a brand new reason to be happy, as we have welcomed two wonderful new innkeepers to the Snowed Inn family, Stephanie and Victoria. They bring so much to our inn, from engaging, gracious personalities to an impressive work ethic and skill set (among other things think absolutely mouthwatering baked goods!) and terrific energy and enthusiasm toward the art of hospitality. We feel tremendously fortunate to have found them and I know our guests will all feel the same way. Transition can often be difficult, but this time it has been surprisingly smooth and energizing.
The Christmas decorations have gone up here at the inn, and I have been hard at work creating the Snowed Inn tree decor for this year’s Killington Holiday Festival. Our tree will be called “Truffle” and I will leave its appearance to the readers’ imagination until it is assembled and photographed. The white lights are once again illuminating the inn in full splendor, and we look forward to welcoming our cherished returning guests as well as our first timers.
Happy Holidays to all!
